The legend continues...
Doug is not your typical starving artist who has spent the last twenty years on the streets of Paris or New Orleans, selling his sketches to make a living. For over 30 years, Doug has sold and built 50+ iconic professional sports stadium roof systems worldwide. He was appointed to the U.S. Naval Academy, a former college quarterback/fullback and is the infamous Chicken Wing King.
Doug is a well-read, well-traveled and an outspoken one-of-a-kind. He loves fishing, live music, contact sports and sending 3-page emails of high school football stats/highlights to his three children and wife of 38 years. As he has grown older, he has become more annoyed by the incompetency and poor work ethic of today's society. To take out his frustrations, in January 2016, he bought some watercolor paint, went down to his basement, cranked up some James Brown and Neil Young and started creating masterpieces, fueled by untapped talent and raw emotions. For those who know him, he does everything quite intensely and in less than a year, he has created over 750 paintings (while working 3 jobs). As his friends and family began to view his paintings, the requests starting coming in; thus, watercolorsbydoug.com was created, to share his new found talent with many more people.
